Precious Relics from Shang Tomb in Xingan County
  A large tomb of Sang period was discovered at Dayangzhou village in Xingan county of Jiangxi province in 1989. Among 1374 unearthed relics are 475 bronze wares, 745 jade wares and 139 pottery and proto-porcelain wares. The variety, typeform, decoration and casting of these bronzes are considered the best in the southern regions of China, this area is thus reputed the kingdom of bronzes in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.
  All kinds of objects from the tomb bear not only the culture character of the Shang civilization in Central Plains, but also the strong flavour of region feature. This undoubtedly will change the position of Ganpo region on the ancient history of our country and enough to certificate that Ganpo region also have her brilliant material civilization when Central Plains came into the history civilization period.
